Mona Terry is a dedicated musician and educator who brings more than fifty years of experience and passion for music to students of all ages. With a career spanning more than five decades, Mona has thrived as a private instructor, performer, director, composer, and certified therapeutic musician.

​

Raised in a musical family, her musical journey began in Los Angeles, California, where she began learning the piano under her mother’s guidance. Over the years, her immense artistry expanded to include harp, acoustic bass, pipe organ, and djembe drum. In addition to her performance background, Mona holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from the California State University, Los Angeles, and has taught in both private and group settings with an emphasis on nurturing creativity and confidence through music.

Now based in Seattle, Mona continues to explore her creativity through diverse artistic collaborations and original compositions. Her works have been published in the International Folk Harp Journal and featured on two CD Album recordings.

At the heart of her teaching and performance is a deep commitment to equity and belonging. Mona’s life’s mission is to advocate for social change by ensuring the arts remain accessible, welcoming, and transformative for all.
